Local Councillor Rosita Page has secured funding from the district council , ensuring that the iconic Sir Frank Whittle replica aeroplane monument at the gateway to Lutterworth was preserved and maintained
Cllr.Page says: “This is a memorial to the life and work of Sir Frank, who developed the jet engine while he worked in the town between 1936 and 1943 and is a nationally recognised symbol of our town “
Councillor Page has also managed to confirm, from the county council, that there is regular ground maintenance on the island .
