Neil Bannister selected as the Police and Crime Commissioner Candidate

On Saturday 17 October 2015, Neil Bannister was chosen by Leicestershire Conservatives asConservative Candidate for the Leicestershire & Rutland Police and Crime Commissioner elections in 2016.

Neil is currently a senior CPS Crown Advocate, a councillor at Harborough District Council as well as Chairman of the South Leicestershire Conservative Association.

Commenting on the election of the new candidate, Alberto Costa MP said “Sir Clive Loader has given many years excellent service but when he indicated that he was stepping down the selection process to find a Conservative candidate for next May’s PCC election began. I am truly delighted that Neil Bannister has been selected. He is a premier candidate and his wealth of experience and professional expertise of the criminal justice system will be offered to our region’s electorate next May.”
