On Sunday 12th November the annual Whetstone Remembrance Day parade took place following its usual marching route through Whetstone and led by the Scouts band.
Heavily supported by Whetstone Parish Council the turn-out from all walks of life this year was truly amazing.
Even though we were blessed with bright sunshine, I estimate that over 500 hundred local people joined the march or assembled to pay their respects at the Whetstone War Memorial.
Whetstone you should be proud of yourselves and thanks to my Ward Colleague, Cllr: Alan Tanner for laying the wreath on behalf of the District Council.
