Blaby District Council : Countesthorpe
David Findlay has been a local district councillor for Countesthope for the last eight years and has lived in the village for over 10 years
He has an interest both locally and nationally on a range of issues including Mental Health issues, Affordable Homes and also on the rights of LGBT ndividuals. This has led him over the past four years to Chair the Leicestershire Police Scrutiny Panel on Hate Crime, to make sure that we are doing all we can for victims of Hate Crime.
In his spare time he is also a Trustee of Tumaini Jypia charity which was set up by Louise Richardson to provide better health,
sanitation and education in rural Tanzania. He also enjoys spending time with his friends and family.
