Cllr David Jennings

Leicestershire County Council: Cosby & Countesthorpe


 David Jennings was born in and has lived in Countesthorpe all his life. Married to Joy for over 40 years, they have two children and are proud to have raised them in this area. David and Joy are both involved in many aspects of village life.
David will be recognised by many residents of Cosby as the nephew of Agnes Tibbies who, with her husband Shirl, kept the Post Office for many years.

He is a long serving member of Countesthorpe Parish Council and until recently represented the Ward at Blaby District Council.

David Jennings has been your County Councillor for the Division of  Cosby and Countesthorpe since it was newly formed twelve years ago.

On the County Council, he is Chairman of The Environment and Transport Scrutiny Committee, Chairman of the Blaby Highways Forum and Chairman of the local Government Superannuation (Pensions) Board.
