Cllr Sheila Scott

Blaby District Council Stanton & Flamville Ward

I was born in Bolton, Lancashire, moving to Sapcote with my husband Jack and our three children, who all attended the village school.

During my 40+ years living in the village I have been fully involved within the community, Mums and Tots Group, Chair of the Parish Council, Chair of the Governing
Body of All Saints and Sharnford Primary Schools.

I worked with the School and Leicestershire County Council to ensure the “Safe Crossing area” was put in place on Bassett Lane.

I have represented Stanton and Flamville Ward since being elected in 2009. My duties are varied, ranging from dealing with residents concerns regarding dangerous pavements, overhanging trees, incorrect parking, lack of public transport, and speeding through our villages.

Every issue is important, please contact me at any time by email, letter, phone or just knock on my door.

During my time as your District Councillor I have served on various committees. I became Cabinet member with Health and Leisure Portfolio. My present Portfolio is Planning, Housing Strategy, Economic & Community Development and Partnerships.

I am dedicated to my residents and have enjoyed working with you and for you over the years.
