David Freer grew up on his parents farm with two brothers. At 16 he attended Agricultural college, passing the course with credit.

At 22 he moved to Croft, where he farmed Arable & Beef for over 15 years and his two daughters attended Croft primary School.

He first engaged with the community by organising school trips for the local children to visit the farm in the early 90s.

David is a self-employed local businessman.

He has served on Croft Parish Council for over 15 years and has represented Croft , Potters Marston & Elmesthorpe as district Councillor for the past 8 years and is currently a cabinet member.

He is one of 4 members of the local community that organise Croft fun-day every year. This is now a major event for the local community that raises crucial funds for Groups, Clubs & Charities within the area.
