Harborough District Council:Lutterworth - Orchard
Geraldine Robinson is married with two grown up children, two grandsons and two granddaughters. She was born and educated in Lutterworth and at least five generations of her family have lived in the town. She has worked as a librarian at Lutterworth High School for over 30 years and is now retired.
Geraldine is Chairman of the Lutterworth Town Estates Charity. The Charity owns properties in the town which are rented out to provide assistance for those in need. Having been approached by a local doctor regarding the health and well-being of Lutterworth residents, the Charity purchased the new gym equipment recently installed on the recreation ground for the whole community.
She has been a member of Lutterworth Town Council for sixteen years and a District Councillor for twelve years. Geraldine is acutely aware of her responsibilities as a Councillor, in particular she finds responding to the needs of the individuals who make up the local community highly rewarding. It is also important to look at the future needs of the town making sure that there is a fair proportion of affordable housing for young people as well as investment in infrastructure to support any extra development in Lutterworth.
Geraldine is committed to getting the best deal for Lutterworth and would very much welcome the opportunity to continue representing the residents of Orchard Ward.
